McDonough is very monotone. I don't know anything about him, where did they pull him from? His delivery can be hard to listen to, but I've warmed up to him a little as the weeks have gone by...

He's like a poor man's Pat Summerall. Very monotone, drone even...

I don't know why people don't like Gruden. I love his personality. He knows football and is probably the best color guy doing NFL on any major network. He might be too smart for some people...

Gruden's great. He's a grinder. Definitely knows the Xs & 0s.

He's worked his way up the ESPN ladder, mainly doing college football & college basketball. I like listening to him. I think he did better in college, but he's been doing it for much longer, so obviously he was more comfortable with that.

This is the first MNF game I've seen all year. Don't care for this new play by play guy at all. ESPN is going down the tubes.

That I will agree with you on. They were discussing way too much politics on a sports network

Problem is though, even the sports shows, when they stick to just sports are usually pretty dumb. First take being a great example.

You guys obviously don't remember or didn't get to enjoy the booth antics of OJ and Joe Namath.

Personally, I mute most games these days.. the announcers simply aggravate me.... i was watching the NASCAR race yesterday and NBC and OMG.. the announcers were just over the top STUPID.. making too much out of every point scenario.. hard to listen to..
