He's more doing college games. He's never done a who lot of NFL games for Fox than he did for CBS.

Great topic and some very good choices, too! Noticed John Gruden was missing, though.

Yuck! I can't sit through an entire MNF game while listening to that obnoxious midwest aaaaacent of his.

I picked Michaels, Enberg, Summeral, Madden, and Collinsworth.

Updating this thread. Does anybody remember the duo of Jack Buck and Hank Stram? They called more super Bowls than Summerall and Madden. Plus Jack Buck was one of those announcers that called "The Catch" in San Francisco when Joe Montana threw a game winning TD pass to Dwight Clark in the 1981 NFC Championship Game over Dallas. It is often mistakenly believved that Summerall and Madden were on the call. Summerall actually called the game on CBS Radio with Jack Buck since Madden was off to prepare for the Super Bowl telecasts they were doing that year. The game on television was called by Stram and play-by-play man Vin Scully. While Buck was best known as a baseball announcer, especially as a broadcaster for the St. Louis Cardinals, he was also known as a football announcer. Now Joe Buck is following his dad's footsteps.

Jack Buck i enjoyed.. Joe Buck not so much. Anymore i just mute the announcers.. Sometimes they actually offer up good information but that happens only 2 or 3 times a game. Mostly its just useless rambling that i can do without.

I think too much of any announcer gets old. Thats the problem i typically have with them. The first time you listen to an announcer.. they are ok, some even pretty good but after 2-300 games of the same blah blah blah, it gets OLD.. if your a Cowboys fan then your gonna get Buck and Aikman for at least 10-12 games and over the course of a decade that adds up.. throw in a few other 4pm games when the Cowboys are on in primetime and your looking at 200 plus games.. enough already!

Its funny because i will watch many college games throughout year but unless your watching the PrimeTime games religiously you don't always get Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist or Herbstreit and Brent Musberger every week.. you often get a myriad of different voices. I will catch Andre Ware doing a game about once, maybe twice a year and what a breath of fresh air he is.. but i just know that if i had to listen to him EVERY Sat.. he would get old..
