The Packers & Lions will only find out after the conclusion of next week's Tampa & Washington games if they're safe.

One of them will be a division winner in the playoffs. If the Lions beat the Cowboys Monday they'll have 10 wins, which would make them the 6th seed, if Packers win the division. Packers lose they have 9 wins and would have to see what those teams do. Lions are in better shape if they beat the Cowboys, doesn't matter what Redskins and Bucs do, can't catch them.
The skins are right behind the Packers at 8-6-1 meaning that if the Packers lose and Was wins the skins will move into the 6th spot at 9-6-1 and the Packers will miss out at 9-7.

You're assuming the Lions beat the Cowboys tomorrow night.

Remaining clinching scenario's for week 16:

- Steelers win the AFC North with a win vs. the Ravens; and they will eliminate the Ravens in the process
- Dolphins and actually the Chiefs as well, clinch playoff spots in the AFC with a Broncos loss to the Chiefs
-Raiders win the AFC West if the Chiefs lose, so either way one fan base of a decade-long suffering fan base will be getting a very late Christmas present at about 11:55 PM on Christmas day: either the Raiders (a divisional championship if the Broncos win) or the Dolphins (a Wildcard spot with a Chiefs win).
-Lions clinch a playoff spot with a win @ Dallas.

How would the Lions clinch if they beat Dallas? They will only be a game ahead of GB with one game left.

Lions 10-5
Packers-9-6

Because they would be at least a Wildcard. As of right now there's only 2 teams that can catch Detroit: Green Bay & Washington. Tampa can tie them as well, but I ran that on the playoff machine and it has Detroit making it over Tampa with both at 9-7 so I believe Tampa was officially eliminated this afternoon.
Getting the win @ Dallas gets them to 10 wins, and in that scenario there at most only 5 other teams that can match Detroit at 10-6: Dallas (already past 10 wins), Seattle, Giants & Atlanta (currently at 10 wins) & Green Bay (can get to 10)

Tampa is not eliminated because they can still get in if GB finishes 9-7 and was finishes 8-7-1.

Det would win the division and Tampa would win last wildcard

If the Lions beat the Cowboys, they have a tiebreaker over Washington so they will take the 6th seed if they lose to the Packers.

If the Cowboys beat the Lions, the Redskins can secure the final playoff spot by beating the Giants.

Tampa Bay is still in the race. The Cowboys must win Monday Night. Redskins lose to the Giants. The Bucs beat the Panthers. 49ers must beat the Seahawks. The Chiefs have to beat the Broncos. Colts must beat the Jaguars. Lions must win the NFC North. Green Bay has tiebreaker over strength of victory.

Green Bay will take the last wild card under that scenario.

Bucs doesn't to go to the playoffs after how they played yesterday. Plus I don't even see them beating the Panthers
