It's a shame that KC could very well sweep Oakland and Denver, finish tied with New England in the standings but lose the tiebreaker because they lost 19-12 to Houston in week 2.

It's unlikely Pats lose 2 of their last 3. But if they do stumble in Denver, that potentially sets up for a massive game in week 17. Definitely the biggest game Miami has had down in Miami since 2008. Pats playing for the 1 seed and Miami playing to make the wild card.

ESPN playoff predictor. These would be entertaining first round matchups.

1. NE
2. OAK
3. PIT
4. TEN
5. KC
6. BAL

1. DAL
2. SEA
3. ATL
4. GB
5. NYG
6. TB

Interesting list! I still think the Broncos make the playoffs, although would not be a major surprise if they don't. KC is an interesting team. They do keep winning.

I wonder if the Bucs are going to challenge the Falcons for the division. Division games are always tricky no matter what the record is. Packers face the 3-10 Bears, should be a win but last week they gave the Lions a tough game.

Since Miami won last week, I don't see AFC North getting a wild card anymore. If the Ravens win their division, they'll get Miami first round, which will essentially be a bye week.

Kansas City losing today really makes things interesting in the West and the fight for the #1 seed. The AFC South could have a title game in week 17 when Houston travels to Tennessee. Both the Texans and Titans could both very well be tied at 9-6. Indianapolis is on the outside looking in and still has a trip to Oakland next weekend.

Lions losing helps the Packers, win the next 2 and they get the division, would be awesome after their terrible start.

The Patriots go into Denver and get a big win. They're 12-2 and are now the first division winner in the AFC. They also clinched a first round bye.

Denver falls to 8-6 and are out of the playoffs - Miami slides into the #6 seed with their big win yesterday.

Shows you what I know, saying I thought they might still make the playoffs and I said KC was an interesting team, so both teams I mentioned lost! I don't follow the AFC much obviously!

Denver can still get in, they just need teams to lose in order to do it. If they lose in Kansas City they pretty much will be done.

It was predicted by someone on NBC that denver would lose out and miss the playoffs when looking at their december schedule. So now they have to go to KC and then play the raiders so I see them at best at 9-7.
