Everyone should feel pretty good about their picks this week, even if they only went .500
I'm sitting at a horrendous 4-9 right now. I lost all the same games most people lost, and I picked a few upsets with the Bears, Panthers, and Bengals that didn't pan out either. Ho-Ho well, I still got Pitt, KC, and Detroit going forward this week.
On a happy note......May all of my football friends on CD have a most very Merry Christmas and be safe out there everyone!
Week 17 is going to suck! That's always a tough week anyways with who might play, vs. who's already checked out (Broncos, Ravens & Jets week 17 for starters!) vs. teams in the playoffs with byes locked out how much do the starters play vs. teams already clinching playoff spots but no bye, how long/if at all do the starters play. This year seems even worse than normal as all 6 spots have already been locked up in the AFC with not much changing, while in the NFC 5 of the 6 can be locked up with a Detroit win, with once again, not much changing there either.
WOW! That was a big F-U to the Broncos at the end. They could have simply ran the clock out!
Not really. If the Broncos had wanted the clock to run out they wouldn't have called time out. I'm sure the Chiefs would have been happy to just run the ball again and kick a field goal if they didn't score a running touchdown. But the Broncos called a time out while trailing by three scores, so they brought it on themselves. Twice even: 1, calling the time out 2, not stopping the play.
