I'm not thrilled either! Players say they don't like it, hanging around waiting all day to play but have to deal with it.

I don't like it. Less rest for the Packers & Lions entering the playoff week. One of the teams will have to play on next Saturday after a very late Sunday night.
Why even have a Sunday night game the week before the playoffs?

Good point but Lions play Monday night, then have to play the Packers on Sunday, whereas Packers have more than an extra day, having played on Saturday.

Loser could be out or have to travel to Seattle most likely

The loser could be like how the Cowboys/Eagles was in 2009 where they would play each other 2 weeks in a row.

So let's say the Lions win, the Packers may have to go right back to Detroit the following weekend like the eagles had to do with Dallas 7 years ago.

correct because GB would have 7 losses and Was would have 6 losses and a tie

If lions win out they'll be the 3 seed if they lose one or pack wins they'll drop to the 4 most likely.
Seattle plays sf which should be a steam roll

If they win out they will be 3 and Packers could be 6 which is why the possibility of them playing two weeks in a row could happen.
