Mike, Lions 30 in Seahawks stadium? Whoa, interesting, not sure that can happen. I think it will be a low scoring game.

Giants haven't been scoring a great deal in their games but holding the Packers to 13? I know their defense is good but I'm not sure they can hold Packers to a low score. Maybe, we'll see!

The reason I think the Lions can hang 30 on the Seahawks is because since Earl Thomas was lost for the season, the defense has not been right. In that time, the Seahawks looked terrible against the Packers, allowing 38 and not competing, allowing a lackluster Cardinals defense to score 34 points on them at home (way worse offense this year that the Lions), and barely surviving a 25-23 win against the 49ers at home. I know there was nothing for the Seahawks to play for, but you cannot turn on and turn off your defense like this at will.

As for the Giants, they allowed two of the top five defenses a total of 17 points (Cowboys, Redskins) the latter game a 19-10 Giants win where the Giants had nothing to play for, holding the Skins to 73 total yards well into the third quarter. The Packers match up great against every other team in the NFC except the Giants. The Giants play great pass defense, and the Packers receivers are their strength. Similarly, the Packers are lacking in pass defense, and the Giants are strongest at the wideout with Beckham and Sheppard.

In their stadium I was questioning whether Lions can score 30, they haven't been a high scoring team this year. I'd have to look but I doubt it, maybe early in the season.

Raiders @ Texans - A true wild card event with the quarterback situation with both teams. Raiders by a FG.
Lions @ Seahawks - Stafford silences Sherman?
Dolphins @ Steelers - I'd love an upset here but sticking with the clearly superior team.
Giants @ Packers - Packers are the better team right now but I'm hoping for recent playoff trends for Green Bay to continue.

Regular Season: 159-96
Playoffs: 0-0

Oakland @ Houston. This will be an ugly game with the Raiders starting a backup, and the Texans starting the $72 million disaster. But Houston had the best defense in the NFL, and that defense will get them the win 14-10.
Detroit @ Seattle. This Seahawks team sucks compared to the teams of 2, 3, even 4 years ago, but luckily for them the Lions are a beatable opponent. The Lions went 4-6 against teams that were .500 and above (take out teams above .500 and the Lions were 1-6 against teams with winning records) and 5-1 against teams below .500. I think Detroit will actually hang with them for a while, but Seahawks pull away late 31-20.
Miami @ Pittsburgh. Nice story from the Dolphins this year, but in this matchup unlike the first game this year down in Florida, they will have a healthy Roethlisburger for the entire game, and the Steelers win by 2+ touchdowns 34-14.
NY Giants @ Green Bay. Giants defense is good, but the offense is putrid. If they can run the ball successfully and control the clock, I think they can pull it off, and they may have found someone that can do just that in week 17 in Paul Perkins. Giants 17-14

I must have missed it, but why are the 12-4 Raiders playing the 9-7 Texans at Houston?
