Did NOT expect this!! Pleasantly surprised, but I am nervous about 2nd half. NE always makes key adjustments, Brady will catch fire, plus again, there's the "it" factor NE has. No way would the NFL let Brady, Belicheck, and Co lose the Super Bowl, esp in semi-blowout fashion.
I fear in the second half, the Patriots offense will run up and down the field, while the Falcons self-destruct under the weight of the moment-turnovers, penalties galore; and then they play not to lose. Final Patriots 31, Falcons 27 Brady MVP, TRump happy, and the whole world will never hear the end of this one!! It'll be the Brady and Trump show for weeks after this. I hope I'm wrong

You're right, Dissenter. As I said, I'm very confident with the Falcons but I don't want to be too overconfident though. New England might have a shot at coming back IF they can get their offense going. They only got one third down conversion. I think the Falcons' defense needs to stop committing stupid defensive penalties on third downs. It's inexcusable to give the other team a first down on third down, especially when you commit a holding penalty.

In SBXXVII the Cowboys had an 18 point lead at the Half...exactly what the Falcons have now... but for some reason.. i don't see the Pats folding up their tents and going home yet... i think they make a game of it.. but the Falcons first possession could doom them if they don't get a STOP!

Brady doesn't look right, I can't believe the throws he's missing. Can he come back and right the ship, 2nd half? Him trying to stop the guy with the INT was somewhat sad.

If Falcons come out and march down the field again, could end up being a blow out, not the game I expected, thought score would be closer.

You're right, Susan. I don't think Brady has been looking sharp. I don't see much momentum going unless they prove to me that they can stop Atlanta.

If the Pats got 6 before the half, they would have some momentum

But they only got 3, the Falcons kept theirs.

And the Falcons get the ball at the start of the 3rd.

Surprising-very.

You will obviously hear joe buck mention this but i don't think the Falcons get cold.. they were a bit off in the 1st quarter but they got in rythm... and i expect them to stay in rythm

YEP..REREAD IT and you were right. Does not apply to your post. I am just sick of fans whining about the refs...

Indeed it is shocking but I am not a Patriots fan but I have to admit Belichick and Brady are really good together.
