Disappointed, but not shocked. I had strong, sick feeling the Falcons would self-destruct and cave in under the pressure of the moment. When it was 28-3 a guy asked me if I still felt NE would come back, I said of course. We bet, I won $500.

I agree its really stupid. What is the NFL afraid of? The kids have to go to bed early so we have to end the game when the other team does not touch the ball? I don't get their millionaires that make up these rules.

Tough, having that big of a lead and giving it up, has to be a first for a Super Bowl, plus the first tie, crazy.

They had 4 quarters' worth of a chance to put it away and failed miserably. If they can't keep the patriots out of the endzone in overtime then they deserve to lose.

I was rooting for the Falcons, but I can appreciate what we just saw. The league is a couple seasons away from closing the chapter on this era of great QBs. Manning left on the heels of a win and Brady just led the Pats to the greatest comeback in SB history. There's a whole new crop waiting to assume the league headlines so enjoy these old guys while you still can!

Dan Quinn is the Falcons head coach. Two years ago he was the Seahawks defensive coordinator.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are going to dominate that guy's nightmares for decades...

I posted this early in the game (6:20) and it did come true.

Interesting fact from Pro Football Reference:

Since 2000, there have been three Super Bowls that were 0-0 after the first. All three were Patriots wins Team Game Finder Query Results | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Seahawks loss was an offensive failure and so was this one. But yeah, as head coach he deserves the blame here. Utterly stupid to get sacked there when all u had to do was maintain field position for a field goal.
