As a Falcons fan I really can't see how this was the best Super Bowl. Each half was a blowout. One by Falcons, one by Patriots. Winner was decided by a coin toss. I say both teams are on equal footing.

I have no sympathy for the "decided by a coin toss" argument when the only thing the Falcons had to do to get their chance in OT was not give up a 4th unanswered touchdown with an unanswered field goal thrown in for good measure.

And no they're not on equal footing. One team is the Super Bowl champions and one is not.

Patriots won by one possession. It's almost like the Seahawks/Patriot game.

An utterly amazing, exciting game. The best Super Bowl ever, of all time. Congrats to the Patriots and their fans, from a 49ers fan.

What's not fair about the college OT rules? I don't watch a lot of college football, but I like their rules. So, why? I don't doubt you, just trying to understand. It's like soccer PKs.

Glad to hear that the fans roundly booed Goodell for the entire duration of his presentation of the Lombardi trophy, that they cheered Robert Kraft, and that Mr. Kraft riled Goodell during his speech in a subtle and classy way.

That was the result I was hoping for from this Super Bowl and it happened.

Yeah I agree the Falcons gave it away. Before the sack I said "3 runs then kick a field goal". That would have probably been enough. Instead they take a deep drop and get knocked out of field goal range. That's right there with Seattle throwing near the goal line 2 years ago.

While I agree in this particular game the coin toss was huge that is no reason to change the OT rule. To what? The college rule is stupid. Tue NFLPA would never agree to playing an entire 5th quarter, besides thst removes the drama of sudden death. They had plenty of chances to keep the Pats out of the end zone and they failed. That's not the rule, that's the defense.

Superbowl decided by a coin flip, I'm still in shock. Are you kidding me? They don't have a different rule for the SUPERBOWL? What a choke job by the Falcons. Unreal. Ryan sacked to get taken out of field goal range, are you kidding me?

I don't accept this result.
The Falcons won the popular vote.
