This is obviously a Super Bowl that will be remembered for a long time (akin to Super Bowl 49). But I want to go over the specific strengths and weaknesses of each team in this game and what should each team focus on in the off-season. Will the Falcons ever make it back? Did they even show potential? What's Tom Brady's future? What improvements do the Patriots have to make?

the patriots are a pretty complete team, though they can use some support on defense, same with the falcons. i think the first thing these teams need to do is secure as many of their current key players as possible straight away. you dont want to have to rebuild the team because many key players went to new teams over money. lock them in now.

the next thing they need to do is identify their weaknesses, and work to fix them. and then go to dinseyland.

Seahawks lost by bad coaching decisions to pass the ball instead of run. Same thing happened here against the same team, with Dan Quinn being there to see history repeat itself.

We could see them again next year with a healthy Gronkowski. (Maybe Serial Killer Hernandez will be found no guilty and he can rejoin the Pats!!)

We already know what's next for the Pats. They'll go 12-4 or so next year and at minimum reach the AFCCG! The Falcons are a little more difficult to figure out. They have a promising young defense that did some good things down the stretch and looked good for a good bit of the game against the Patriots. They also have a really good offense so it's hard to see them falling off next year. Then again, we said similar things about the Panthers last year and they went from 15-1 to 6-9-1 this year. Plus the NFC south is one of those divisions that often trades hands year after year. The Panthers had a 3 year run, but before that started a different team won it every year it seemed. If the Panthers rebound the Falcons are going to have their work cut out for them. It could be an interesting division.

What's next? Players on both teams get paid & go to Disney World. Head south for the rest of winter with their families to their million dollar homes. Brady looks in the mirror feeling empty & again says - "That's it? There's gotta be more than this."

The NFC South has the potential to be the best in the NFL next year. Beyond the Falcons, if the Panthers get back on track, along with a much improved Tampa Bay Bucs and the Saints can get Brees some help you're looking at fairly solid top to bottom. Of course we'll have to wait until the playoffs to see any of them on TV while we're bored to tears with the overrated Cowboys, Packers, Steelers, 49ers, Giants, Broncos, Colts and Seahawks on week in and week out...

Falcons lick their wounds - Patriots go for #6. That's what's next.

So true. For the Patriots it is onward and upward and as long as Brady can stay healthy there is no reason they won't be back in the SB next year.

When it was 14-0 and the Pats were playing poorly I thought we were going to see a 28-0 blowout.
The Falcons were fast and the Pats didn't seem to have the answers.

A fumble and an interception that produced 14 points for the Falcons and 2 trips within the 35 and no points to show for it? How can a team over come that?

The Patriots will savor the victory and get back to the business of winning come August.

The Falcons... Better luck next year guys.
