I've learned to respect these two men. I hate them but still have to recognize their greatness.

Let's face it, look at the Patriots roster. They won the Super Bowl with only one future Hall of Famer (Brady). I don't think anyone else that played the Super Bowl (meaning no Gronk) for the Patriots is getting into the Hall of Fame.

They have a nameless offensive line. Same can be said for that defense. Running game by committee.

Brady/Belichick is the glue.

Honestly take a look at their rosters from all 5 championship teams. How many Hall of Famers (or future) do you see besides Brady? Very few.

It's a system and a great one at that. They find pieces and players to fill their schemes. No divas on the team. It's a tight run ship and they run it very well.

This Tom Brady / Bill Belichick duo is just the greatest ever. But..........I'd still take the Joe Montana / Bill Walsh teams over them any day of the week? You know why? Because the Montana/Walsh teams have a certain USC legend wearing #42 that would put the fear of GOD into those little scrappy receivers that the Patriots have. Those little guys running those short crossing routes would be killed by the Legend that is Ronnie Lott.

Maybe, maybe not. It's so difficult comparing across generations. You have to catch those little guys to hit them, not saying Lott wasn't fast. Brady gets the ball out as fast as any QB in history.

Brady passed to Edelman, Bennet, Amendola, Mitchell, Hogan and White. How many receivers could Ronnie Lott cover at any one time?

plus Lott played in an era that allowed much more physical contact by the DBs than is allowed nowadays

He wont have to cover them all. It'll just take one hit and those little pretty boys would be scared and nervous the rest of the game if they arent taken out on stretchers.

Patriots play in the free agent era. 49ers got to keep all their good players for their run. Big difference.
