The league will release its schedule this week, likely Thursday. Personally I look forward to the schedule even more than the draft. With that said, who do you hope your team plays in week 1? Who do you think they'll play?
For the Broncos I hope they play @ Chiefs in week 1. I consider this the Broncos best chance to go into Arrowhead and swipe a win since week 1 can be so unpredictable. With that said I'm hearing a lot of rumblings that the Chiefs will play the Pats in the kickoff game, and that should be good theater too. I think the Broncos will open @ Dolphins because the league seems to have a sick fascination with sending the Broncos to Florida early in the year.
I'd like to see the Falcons and Patriots square off in the kickoff game in week 1 like Carolina and Denver did so last year. That would be nice if that happened.
For the Packers, hard to say, I was thinking it would be the Falcons or Dallas, but schedule maker may want those later in the year. When I first read the title, I thought it said Week 17, need new glasses, I guess.
I'm hearing it will be Chiefs and Patriots for the week 1 game, which doesn't make sense to me, should be the Falcons.
^ See, I profoundly disagree about the Patriots hosting the Falcons. I was really disappointed last year when the league brought the Panthers to Denver for week 1. I felt the Broncos should have been able to play a division rival that week, or at least an AFC Rival. I think Pats vs Chiefs is a good matchup. It's the top 2 teams from the conference last season and I think would be a pretty good draw for the league's kickoff special.
I hope the Packers play at Detroit. Get that pesky dome game out of the way.
I just hope the Packers don't have to face a team with a rookie QB or some new QB in week 1 who they don't have any tape on.

Similarly, I never understood why the Patriots usually play at Miami early in the season, then the Dolphins visit Foxborough late in the season, in fact the last game in early January - it seems to be scheduled that way every year - and in general late season games in cold-weather eastern cities that start at 4PM or even at night.
In general, shouldn't warm-weather and dome-stadium teams have at least the bulk their northern open-air road games early in the season and vice versa?
I don't share the fascination of extreme heat or frigid conditions significantly influencing the competitive balance.
I am still waiting for the regular season schedule to come out so I know who the Packers play and when. This upcoming season will be very interesting.
