In my opinion, it should be shortened because 4 preseason games is too long. Maybe just cut it down to 2 games, one home and one away game.

It used to be six when there was a 14-game schedule.

I could agree to a two-game preseason if the regular season were to begin a week earlier and all regular season games end by December 31st.

I'll be honest, football is the only sport I enjoy. I could watch it year round. I miss when it was six.

Not shortened, eliminated. Wasn't an option.

I think four games is just about right but they could consider starting the games at the beginning of the second half to speed things along a bit.

Should be shortened to two games and only have your young draftees and your bubble guys play in preseason. Save your starters for the regular season.

They won't scrap preseason at all. I don't see that happening.

And again, I know the players don't like it but the coaches do because they want to see how well players can do on the team.

NFL teams play four preseason games, the NBA and the NHL play eight and MLB plays 33. Based on that and the fact they already play the shortest regular season would say it's probably too short as it is. Preseason is instrumental in helping to determine which players are best for what roles and to also test new schemes with varying players. In actuality I wouldn't be surprised to see it go back to six games before too long.

I think they would add more games to the regular season before they would preseason. They're already talking about extending the post season.
