I suppose this would mean that the "Scranton Miners" would be out of the running? Then again, we already have the Eagles and the Steelers; giving Scranton a team would oversaturate the state. However, we'd have even more bragging rights over Binghamton! LOL! The city only has 76,000 residents anyways, but the metro population is larger than Green Bay's (Think PACKERS!) Besides, many locals identify their baseball team with NYC and their football team with Philly; Scranton having a team would be too befuddling! LOL!

Here are my picks:
Anchorage, AK
Quad Cities, IL/IA
Wichita, KS
Louisville, KY
Omaha, NE
Las Vegas, NV
New Jersey
Portland, OR
Memphis, TN
Salt Lake City, UT
Hampton Roads, VA
Spokane, WA
Madison, WI

Wow, what a hefty list! LOL!

AMEN, BROTHER! I actually wouldn't mind seeing more teams in those plains states. It would give a more even distribution, rather than a million teams in CA, TX, and NY. But, that's just my opinion...

First off, I don't think the NFL needs any more teams. The league's deluded enough as it is. It's like these major college football conferences that have so many teams, they have to have sub-conferences within the conference. It's nuts!

Having said that, if a city gets a team, it should be LA. It's crazy that a metro of 12,000,000 doesn't have a team. If they can work out a good stadium deal, give them one.

The only other one I'd recommend would be Portland. Other areas markets are too small, have low growth rates, are too close to an existing team, ect. IMO, please leave the NFL alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When leagues look to place a team somewhere, they look at metro regions. NYC's metro region has 2 teams.

Major sports leagues only put teams in metro areas with at least 1 million people. ABQ has about 850,000 or so. But ABQ is a great area!

ABQ could use a team too. It's a long drive to Denver or Phoenix from there.

Is the Green Bay area really that big? If not, then how did they get a team?
