It's just pre-season, but not a good start for the Chargers in LA. Barely 20,000 showed up. An LA Times writer was trolling about how the next to last place LA Galaxy outdrew the Chargers by over 4,000 fans in the same venue the night before. I haven't met any Chargers fans in LA, only some now ex-fans that are originally from San Diego. It will be interesting to see how the season turns out.

For a crappy team with no established fan base in LA, I'd say 20k for a preseason game isn't bad.

I think the regular season games will all be sell outs. But it might be 50% opposing fans in the stadium.

Yes, I know a lot of Seahawk fans were in LA for that game, you could see them and at time hear them chanting.

Yeah exactly, 20k for a meaningless game from a team no one in LA cares about is pretty good.

The Chargers are in a no-win situation here. It's too bad they couldn't get their stadium deal together in San Diego. I'm sure over time the team can build a bit of a fan base there but unlike the Rams and Raiders, the Chargers barely have any history with Los Angeles.
