I give him an 8. His knowledge of the game as it relates to QBs and reading defenses sets him apart. Definitely has potential to grow.

Collinsworth reminds me alot of the typical people (ala ESPN) in the booth today that do not let the game breathe at all.

Romo may not have the best 'voice' for the booth, but I would gladly take his voice and the insight he gives over some of these gasbags (ie Gus Johnson) that are so typical today...

Like many others have said hes a welcoming breath of fresh air.

If you gave him a 6 you either don't like him or don't appreciate his knowledge and ability to communicate what's going to happen and why. I'm no cowboys fan but I've enjoyed the insight

Tony was born for this. Hopefully, they don't hinder him and let him be himself...

Romo is off to a great start.
He offers clear and interesting insight, and is honest but not overbearing.
He has a few kinks to work out, but he has found his niche. Great job so far Tony.

collinsworth is a fine color commentator, though a bit wordy, and aikman is also a fine color commentator, romo is better then both fo them overall since he brings recent experience to the booth. as time goes on he will lose a bit of that edge, unless he continues to prepare by watching game film as a good quarterback should.

as for gruden, he needs to go away, he sucks as a color commentator.

I know I initially gave him a 6 but I actually like Romo as a football commentator. I jumped the gun and should have waited a little while before I voted.

i like his enthusiasm - not over the top like Gruden, but when listening to Romo he sounds more like the guy you're sitting next at a sportbar making comments - not overly complex, kind of relaxed, and having a good time watching. Not sure if he deserves the Superbowl or an important game. I wouldn't have put him in the #1 spot - he should have worked his way up.
