Generally, you need to take those concerns to your police chief, your mayor, your county commissioner, your governor or senator. The United States, the Flag and the National Anthem represent YOUR country. The very thing that gives you the right to voice your opinion. When you disrespect the very thing that gives you your freedom, you are saying you do not care about freedom, you do not care about your country. You can dislike many aspects of what takes place around you and you need to challenge that, but being disrespectful to your flag, your anthem, your country will not fix anything and only brings disgrace to yourself. There are no doubt many things in America that need to be addressed and improved and even in my old age I would be willing to fight and die to fix them. But I will not disrespect the county that gives me the right to choose and live free.
Why is people keep harping on this fact, yet they don't mention music and TV/Film? TONS of musicians get political with their music as do TV shows and movies. Heck all of the major award shows have political statements being made.

This is the first I have heard of this so I thought perhaps it belongs in this thread.

Do I believe the Raider offensive line threw the game because they objected to Carr standing during the anthem? I'm not really sure. And it certainly does open up a can of worms with possible criminal ramifications if true.

Me neither! Those rating are low now too because of all the political BS. You can't even turn on any of these awards show with being bombed with their liberal whining. Will and Grace is another show people are turning off. I don't care for it but I know several who refuse to watch it anymore.

Those who think the NFL will be just fine better think twice. The numbers aren't looking so great anymore. Just like ditchoc stated above, people want to go and watch football for the entertainment not all the political BS!

A new Yahoo Finance poll suggests the NFL has an enduring problem on its hands. Nearly 62% of 9,056 respondents told us they plan to watch less pro football in response to the anthem controversy. Thirty-six percent said they plan to buy less NFL merchandise, and 32% have chosen not to attend a game they would otherwise have gone to. Those findings all have financial implications for the NFL and its 32 team owners.

there will be no choice but to contract the small market and sub-standard stadium teams and merge them with the nearest cities that have built their teams crystal palaces of righteousness

I am probably a raging liberal by the standards of some people, but why? why? why? should I believe that some bozo who needs a shave or some botoxed babe with lips so mutilated by injections that she needs to carry them in a wheelbarrow knows one bit more about a political issue than I do?

Watching award shows is a profound sign of mental illness
