They have for awhile. My team's players have all kinds of charities, foundations, academies. 99% of NFL players are decent human beings but 1% get publicity for being bad citizens. I'm as guilty as anyone for focusing on the 1%.

Watson is a hell of a story. He and his mother got the keys to their Habitat for Humanity house from Warrick Dunn, if I recall.

He carried his family while still playing football.. He is a VERY down to Earth person. Hard to remember but he was basically in competition with Chad Kelly early on at Clemson. DeShaun obviously is where he is and Chad Kelly is where he is for now.. I suspect Kelly will go the Manzeil route.

It was actually Cole Stoudt that he was competing against in 2014 for the starting job, which he ultimately won in game 2 I think of that year and the rest is history. Nevertheless, good kid.

Glad to see some good coming out of humanity vs. the barrage of nonsense typically in the news.

Can't remember if it was in the video... His check was in the area of $27,000.

Chad was on that team as well. Sort of. Stoudt, Kelly and Watson were the three main QBs going into the 2014 season. Kelly was dismissed from the team in April.

Had Kelly not had problems.. He might have started over Watson. Both are quite good QBs.. Kelly is just a privileged little idiot. Or at least acts like one.
