Marvin Lewis should be fired immediately following today's game. They won't do it though. They will allow him to finish the season. Pathetic loss today. They have completely given up.

You get a rep for that. Lewis has coached the Bengals so long that he has not done anything to give the Bengals a playoff win.

The longer Marvin Lewis remains as head coach, the less intelligence lifeforms in the Cincinnati Bengals organization have.

A ceremonial firing of Marvin Lewis won't solve anything for Cincinnati this season. Given his tenure I wouldn't be shocked if he is given the opportunity to "retire".

Caldwell escaped Tampa with a win but wins by Atlanta and Carolina may leave them in the dust. We'll see how much control Martha is giving Quinn. She likes Caldwell.

The Bengals need to clean house in the front office and in the clubhouse. The window of opportunity to win with Andy Dalton and A. J. Green is closing.

If the Detroit Lions finish the regular season with a winning record, Jim Caldwell earns an extension. The extension should be a one-year deal. If the Lions make the postseason in the 2018 regular season, then a longer extension can be discussed. If they do not qualify for postseason play, they move on from Caldwell by not renewing his contract.

It's playoffs or bust for Caldwell if Quinn calls the shot. Caldwell cannot manage the game. At least 2 games were lost because he did not have enough defensive personnel. How often does that happen let alone twice in one season. Stafford's play bailed him out many times last season. Team is never prepared and they nearly choked away another one today.

I have to think Gruden is on the hot seat in Washington. A lot will depend on how the finish down the stretch but man, that team is a dumpster fire right now.. just terrible.

Long overdue. This guy gets way too much of a free pass. One of the three or four very worst head coaches right now.

Going into Week 17, several head coaches may be coaching their final games with their current teams. Head coaches I think are definite to coach their final games with their current teams:
  • Fox, John; Chicago Bears
  • Jackson, Hue; Cleveland Browns
  • Lewis, Marvin; Cincinnati Bengals
  • Pagano, Chuck; Indianapolis Colts

I'm thinking Caldwell is on his way out in Detroit, no playoffs this year, an early exit other years they did make it. I don't think winning against the Packers on Sunday will help him.
