Yesterday Nick Foles answered his critics. And today it's Blake Bortles.

But ya gotta credit Ben for keeping the Steelers in it, those td passes weren't lucky tosses. The two long td's on 4th down? Great great throws.
Big Ben was awesome, defense was terrible and coaching was miserable.. not a good combination..

Impressed with the Jags... can they pull off the improbable.. i would have to see it to believe it..

Another Patriots AFC Championship appearance, as hoped for and somewhat expected.

A surprising appearance for the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite their #3 seeding. Bortles has been inconsistent, but they do say defense wins championships.

The Jags gave up 42 and still found a way to win, in Pittsburgh no less. But I honestly can't see a repeat performance like that in New England.

For Jacksonville to win, their defense like today will have to score points against the Pats. Obviously entirely possible. But yesterday Brady looked like he did at the beginning of the season and not like he did down the stretch. If he does that again next weekend I don't think the Jags stand a chance.

And coupled with the Eagles and Jags win and the way this Saints-Vikings game has started, probably high time to lay rest to this massive exaggeration that has permeated all the talking heads who believe it's all about having the more experienced and better quarterback.

Doubtful unfortunately as that's how the sports media operates and the same reason we're consistently subjected to commercials with Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers ad nauseum.

Tom Brady continues to uphold that thought process though, and I am quite happy he does.

Yeah, but that's Tom Brady, and especially having Belichick doesn't hurt. Almost solely because of the Patriots success, the mainstream media wants us to believe it's all about QB play and experience at that position. Never that simple. That train of thought needs to go the same way the old mantras that "you need to establish the run" and "defense wins championships" went.

Execution always trumps experience, Tom Brady even said as much the other day.

Great game today between Jags and Steelers Yesterday not so much. Want to really see the Jags give the Pats a run for their money.

And they will. I'm not confident enough to pick em, but I do not anticipate this Jaguars team getting run out of the stadium...
