For me, it doesn't negate the impressive, unexpected turn-around he engineered for the Rams. He'd get my vote.. My ranked list would look like this:

McVay
Pederson
Belichick

The loss can't be blamed on him. Players need to execute as well. Those muffed returns were costly, yet they were still in a position to win in the end and couldn't get it done.

"Coach of the Year" is simply a vote for which team fooled the media experts the most. Maybe it was just that Jeff Fisher was that bad? All kidding aside, given how this award is connotated by so many, there has never been so many viable candidates....and I'm shocked not to see Doug Marrone's name come up as well. Sean Payton and Bill Belichick deserve strong consideration, but neither will probably get a single first place vote. McVay will win, while Pederson and Zimmerman will likely get some first place votes as well.

Great game plan from Pederson yesterday with a back-up QB.

I've thought Pederson should be under consideration considering their season, Zimmer, too probably.
