The Eagles had a lot of team chemistry, without that much luck - 5 very major injuries - and they STILL won it this year.
20 of the 22 starters are signed for next year and it looks like all of the injured players will be returning - Wentz, Peters, Sproles, etc. CB Sidney Jones, who would have been a 1st round pick pick, will be ready.

Brady threw for 500 yards in the Super Bowl. His performance was not the reason the Pats lost. If the Pats had won, he would have been the MVP. As for injuries, the Pats lost Julian Edelman early in the season (a top receiver for the Pats) as well as Donte Hightower, a top defender. They also lost Cooks during the game.

The problem for the Pats was on the defensive side of the ball. The Pats D was very bad in the first 1/3 of the season and did better later, but Phil exposed its weakness. With a few players on D from free agency and the draft, the Pats could be in the Super Bowl next year.

Too bad they didn't turn more of those yards into POINTS. Last time I checked, the games aren't played for yards. Brady dropped a pass. Foles caught one.

It wasn't Brady's performance that lost the game. It was the defense.

I never said it was Brady's fault. He played a great game as usual. The offense failed to fully capitalize on the yardage they gained in the first half, and yes the defense either allowed the Eagles to make plays and/or the Eagles were that good.

Or, one could say, the problem for the Pats was the Eagles' offensive line, which opened up the run game and then protected Foles on the play action passes (which froze the Pat's linebackers), and more generally in the pocket. He had lots of time to throw, and the offensive plan of the Eagles was built around this.

Let’s not forget all the missed calls on the Pats in the Superbowl alone. At least 4 false starts, several BIG holds that went for no calls. Two big push offs by Gronkowski that weren’t called.... move on. Eagles won. Pats got out played, out coached, and this time, outsmarted to where even cheating couldn’t win them the game this time.

Keep looking for those supposed excuses though. Any explanation you can desperately cling to instead of admitting to the fact that the Eagles were just the better team this year, from a player, chemistry, and coaching standpoint.
