It's coming in the next two weeks, all of the chatter in how the Eagles will soar to victory over the Patriots.

I'm pretty confident in which team will be soaring in Minnesota:

You didn't watch the same game I did! I've never seen so many holding penalties NOT CALLED, pass interference NOT CALLED, and late hits NOT CALLED.

The Patriots have opened in Vegas as the biggest Super Bowl favorites in nine years.

A Detroit Free Press article about the game had four predictions - all four took the Patriots.

The Bleacher Report article I read is predicting a Patriots victory.

Of five picks on ESPN, it was 3-1 for the Patriots - one commentator didn't take a stand either way.

There is a Sporting News article predicting an Eagles win, and a nj.com one is as well (but that's basically a local Eagles outlet).

I could keep digging but I have no doubt that the trend will be the same - two or three people picking the Pats for every one who picks the Eagles.

I think the Patriots will win, and I hope they do. But you're trying way to hard to create a "We ain't gettin' no respect!" narrative that just doesn't reflect reality because the fact is that most of the chatter assumes that the Patriots will win again.

How boring if that's the case!

So just because people are picking them, that means they've already won?

79% of all picks on NFL Pickwatch (human and computer generated) picked the Falcons and the Vikings. How'd that work out?

Did I say anything about respect? Are you kidding? That would be a joke.

I was obviously refuting the 'all the chatter is about the Eagles winning!' claim.

How on Earth you possibly gleaned from that that I'm claiming the Patriots have already won is beyond me.

I stated that I think the Patriots will win. This means that I think they are more likely to win than to lose. This does not mean that I think there is no possibility they will lose. It shouldn't need to be explained to anyone that my aside that "I think the Patriots will win" doesn't mean "The Patriots can't lose!". But your reply proves that it, in fact, does need to be explained. At least to some people.

In fact, I wouldn't be particularly surprised if the Eagles win. I'd put their chances at about 40%. I am never surprised when a 5.5-point underdog wins. More often than not it doesn't happen, but it happens enough that it is not at all unusual. Anyway, it's too bad that the fact that I think the Patriots are more likely than the Eagles to win upsets you so much. Oh, well. Your problem, not mine.

Brady has been in the SB 8 times.....this is Foles first time.....both QB's will be tested and pressured by both defenses. Which one can make the big plays under pressure on the big stage.

Brady has been there before many times and had to come from behind many times, he has ice running through his veins......Foles hasn't.
