The Patriots are usually one of the teams with the fewest penalties. This year they were ranked in the top half dozen while Jacksoville was one of the worst teams for penalties. Belichick will bench players for taking dumb penalties. It comes down to coaching.

I don't have stats to back this up right now but don't most top defensive teams in ranking tend to also be the more penalized teams? They tend to go hand in hand at times because the faster and more physical you play the more likely you are to commit a penalty now and then.

The biggest obstacle for the Eagles will be playing at a neutral site and the extended half-time. You can tell that Foles got comfortable at home against the Vikings and the home crowd had a lot to do with it.

I don't understand this line of thinking? Are you assuming only New England fans will be at the Super Bowl?

History speaks to that 100%. I'm not saying any team should fear any other, but this era of the Patriots is marveled by other players/coaches no matter how much trash talk you hear. The Pats are pretty much the team no one wants to face, yet wants to slay Goliath. I love eagles, but I think they'll be some wing clipping on the 4th.

I will watch it. Would love to see the Pats finally get beat, mind you this is coming from a Cowboys fan.

As a Pats fan from afar, I compare Kraft to Jerry Jones, and believe a factor in the Cowboys not quite getting there is because of Jones. He gets too close to operations and doesn't trust the soldiers he hires, and as such the Cowboys can't seem to get to the Super Bowl since early in his ownership.
