Now that the Eagles have won their first ever Super Bowl title, the NFC East can finally claim to an accolade no other division in the NFL could - being the only division entirely populated by Super Bowl winners! While it is true the Eagles have a ways to go before catching up to their division rivals in terms of Lombardi trophies won (Eagles' 1 vs Cowboys' 5, Giants' 4, and Redskins' 3), the Eagles look equipped to contend for several years to come.

I cannot wait to see how the Eagles winning will affect the rest of their division and if it inspires an arms race of excellence, further lending credence to the division nickname "NFC Beast"! What do you think?

NFC Beast sounds about right, especially with 13 of 52 Super Bowls in their pockets!

Of course a few years ago, it was the NFC LEAST! Which is normal for the NFL....ups and downs like a wave through an oscilloscope, but that makes it more interesting. It would be a very boring sport if a team like, say , the Patriots continued to dominate year after year and some other team, like say the Browns, had a run of poor performances augmented only by a brief flash of mediocrity.

The Eagles took a major overhaul to get to and win the big game

How many of these great players will stick around ?
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/s...his-offseason/

In the age of free agency, where players are poached from winning teams annually, the likelihood of the Eagles to field the same team is minuscule.
There are no less than 25 teams who have the mentality that if a player won on another team, then he will automatically win on the another team.
All four teams of the NFC East behave as though they too subscribe to this policy, which does not work.

FWIW, i am no fan of divisions.. there might be a hint of pride that the NFC east includes nothing but Super Bowl Champions but i think i would have slept better had the Pats won... now we get at least a year of hearing EAGLES SB CHAMPS! i can live without that, to be honest!
