The experts and their QB picks have long since sailed with such great much heralded options from the "draft experts" like Manziel, Griffin III, Winston, Bradford, Tannehill and Bridgewater who are anything but elite status. Watch out for the later pick options like Kyle Lauletta from Richmond, Chase Litton from Marshall or Alex McGough from Florida Atlantic who all compare favorably to current former mid-major/small college QBs like Jimmy Garoppolo, Carson Wentz and Case Keenum.
I'm so sick of hearing about this year's QB crop. The top 4 are good, but none of them are slam dunks. Allen fell way off this past season, Rosen's a headcase whose long-term desire is being questioned, Darnold is a turnover machine, and Mayfield's short and at times seems to act like he's not the brightest crayon in the box. The comparisons to the famed Class of '83 are immature IMNSHO.
My bet is 1 of those 4 is a HOF contender, another one is a Pro Bowler, and the other two are marginal starters/career backups. Not great odds.
I was in totally agreement, until I read your second paragraph which totally contradicts your first. If one is a Hall of Famer and another is a Pro Bowler out of 4 QBs that is an excellent class. This is not an excellent QB class and getting two to that level is a huge reach.

I agree. Can't compare this bunch to even 2016 with Wentz/Geoff.
But of the four, Darnold and Allen have the best potential for long term success, with a nod towards Darnold if he gets with the right team.
Nobody knows anything. That includes both the people that think this QB class will be great and the people who think it will be lucky to produce one franchise QB out of the bunch.

Why don't we all just do what no one really wants to do?
When I see the comps for Josh Rosen being the next Jay Cutler, I shudder. Would any team really want to spend a top 5 pick to get a 21 year old version of Jay Cutler (assuming that the Cutler comparisons are accurate)? I would assume that any team that believes the Cutler comparison will pass.

I feel like Rosen's floor is Jay Cutler or even Sam Bradford because of his injury history. While neither QB is someone you want leading your franchise for 10+ years, if those QBs are considered your floor, than that isn't really a bad thing.
