Yup: close the doors on the Eagles and Jaguars in 2018-19. Even being in bad divisions can’t save them at this point. Stunning loss for the Chargers. The Saints are rolling like they never have, even the season they won the Super Bowl. In fact they are hotter than any team I recall in a long while.
The Jags sure have played like wet napkins since the beat the Pats, havent they?
Remember when the beat the Pats? Seems like eons ago now...was that this season?!
Killer loss for Jacksonville, who have now lost six in a row, and are finished. Interesting too, as Carolina went for 2 and didn't convert at the end. I would have favored their chances in overtime.
I watched the game and the head coach and OC should be fired for their play calling in the second half. Steelers defense knew they wouldn't pass the ball and expected run and stuffed the run and Jaguars had a bunch of 3 and outs. That's how the Steelers came back.
might as well punt the ball, why put your offense out there if they are going to call weak conservative play calls.
Jax won the time of possession: 37:40 to 22:20
Jax won the turnover ratio: 3 to 1
now passing the JAX were 10 of 18. You can't beat anybody with 18 pass attempts per game. Steelers knew this and shut down the run in the 4th quarter and that was game.
If the coaching staff can’t trust a starting quarterback to convert a first down on third-and-5 to seal the game’s outcome, then why put him on the field?
