Cowboys were a total surprise to me, and to most everyone else in the free world.

They put together a very opportunistic D out there... just enough to rattle the Saints, and stop them at the right times. The offense will need a bit more fine tuning, but it certainly did just enough last night. Congrats to the Dallas Cowboys!

Is this a 1st? Everyone starts out 0-1? I will say the Cowboys had a game plan stuck to it and rookie LBs played out of their minds, hand it to them, they did well.

Saints just didn't want it bad enough. These kind of games happen all the time. You don't want to go into the post season on a double digit win streak in my eyes. I told my buddy while we were eating dinner last night. I even told him I picked the Saints to win, but the first 5 minutes will determine this game. If the Cowboys can drive inside the 20 within 5 minutes, they'll win this game.

I actually wasn't surprised they won, but my logic still picked the Saints, as just about everyone else's logic. I recommended to a buddy to take the Cowboys at +8, just because I had this feeling Saints were going to get outplayed. Jason Garrett has the crazy ability to put false hope into fans hearts and continue to get extensions. He's that type of coach that really gets you riled up in the regular season, because all looks lost and then he flips a switch.

The game plan was what the Patriots have done for years. Other team can't score on you if you don't give them the opportunity. A lot of dink and dunk passes and then Zeke to move the chains. I didn't get to catch the 2nd half, but that was most of the 1st half. Cowboys defense just suffocated the Saints all night. Saints run game could not get going in the 1st half.

Could be a first for us here at C-D Pick 'Em Headquarters.

I doubt very many football followers seriously believed that the Cowboys had much of a chance, and that includes those over-rated so-called "experts" over on NFLPickwatch!

I forgot to get my pick in for TNF. Oh me, oh my! I have to start out at 0-1. I'd have picked the Saints too, just for the record.
