You know there’s not a lot of viable kickers out there when you elect to keep one on your team that hit the cross bar four times in one game.

I think you meant 4 times in a season, but atleast he is accurate at hitting a target!

Nope. Google it. That’s why the Chicago helicopter news cameras were at Bears practice reporting on him.

I stand corrected. Wow, that Detroit game. Unreal. And then the irony tonight! Unbelievable. Another legendary Chicago sports story for the ages!

3-1 on my Wild Card picks, here is my Divisionals:

Colts over Chiefs
Rams over Cowboys
Chargers over Patriots
Saints over Eagles

The LA Chargers showed me something by beating Baltimore today, namely that Anthony Lynn is a damn good football coach. They just lost to this team two weeks ago and he and his staff had them well prepared for the Ravens today. It was genius playing formations with six DBs to counteract Jackson's speed...

Rivers is now 5-5 in his playoff career but has to now exercise the Ghosts of Rivers Past; he's 0-7 all-time versus Brady. This year though, is I believe his first time taking the better team into the matchup...

And that was another guy win by the Eagles. Foles is unreal, we have all watched many very good and great QBs play this game. A lot of them couldn't execute a 4th & Goal from the 2 with less than 2 minutes to play and their season on the line. Foles threw a perfect strike. Even more of them never had the playoff success Foles has had. Even in his only playoff loss, his play was outstanding. This guy lives for the moment, there have been a ton of guys we'd all say were "better" than Foles who melted in high scenarios...

I think their season ends in New Orleans next week, but I think Foles is the kinda guy who instills confidence instead of resignation. I truly hope that if the Eagles move off of him, he finds a great culture to play for...

Eagles Hester claims he tipped Parkey's kick. The video seems to support that - go to about 1:45 in the video.

Eagles’ Treyvon Hester tipped Cody Parkey’s missed field goal in playoff win over Bears

“Me and Haloti [Ngata] … we got penetration, got the hand up like coach always says. Tipped off my fingertips. Felt good … [but] actually, I thought I didn’t get enough of it, I thought it was going to go in,” Hester said afterward. “When I saw it going in, I turned back around [away from the goal posts]. Then I heard everybody screaming, I was like, oh, [bleep] … he missed it.”

That's a tough loss for the Bears but they appear to have a bright future with a solid young QB and top flight defense.

So he didn’t get it high enough. Or it was just a great play by the Eagles. Or both.

I'm wondering if what the Bears gave up for Mack and the #1 defense, may hurt them. They have no 1st round draft picks until 2021, and also gave up a 3rd I think. We'll see how this all plays out the next few years.
