A couple of guys started shouting "Go Cleveland, Cleveland rocks!" and the guy turned around and said. "Wait, Cleveland has a team?" and then followed up Patrick Roy like and said "I cant hear you guys, I've got too many Super bowl rings plugged in my ears!"

The Steelers were just an average team until they won those Super Bowls in the 70's. Outside of Pittsburgh, they weren't a real popular team. Since those Super Bowls, the Steeler fan base OUTSIDE of Pittsburgh jumped immensely. I know because I'm from NJ and know some Steeler fans. Most fans haven't stepped foot in Pittsburgh. It's common knowledge, but I understand that you wouldn't know this because you are a typical blind Steeler fan. Why do you think there are so many Cowboy fans outside of Dallas? Because of their success in the Super Bowls in the 70's.
I know all about the "NFC Championships"...thank you very much! I love how Steeler fans are ALWAYS accused of "living in the 70's" when we brag so much about our SB titles, but here you are living in the 1940's-1950's over 3 NFC championship titles that the Browns won. HELLO, the STEELERS have 5 Championship titles!
First off, it's not NFC. It's the NFL. Not once did I say you were living in the 70's. The point is that YOU said the Steelers won 5 championships (which is correct) and that the Browns have won nothing (which is incorrect). I was calling you out on your lack of the facts and I'm not even a Browns fan.
ALSO, You yourself know VERY LITTLE about football!! FIRST of all, let me point out to you that THE BROWNS did NOT win any championships games back then!! It was the BALTIMORE RAVENS who won those championships. That's RIGHT--LEARN your facts!!! Baltimore is the OLD CLEVELAND BROWNS TEAM and that is WHO won the championships, not the BROWNS you are speaking of!!
DING DING---FIRST ROUND KNOCKOUT FOR ME!!

WOW. JUST WOW! My God, anyone reading your post is very embarrassed for you. The CLEVELAND BROWNS won 4 Championships. They have also lost 7. The FANS of the current Browns teams were fans of those Browns teams as well. Same location, same history, same uniforms. They were inactive for 3 years. It's the SAME TEAM. ASK THE NFL AND REAL FANS OF THE NFL.
Get ready to go to school. Pencil sharpened? Ok, here goes;
After extensive talks between the NFL, the Browns and officials of the two cities, Cleveland accepted a legal settlement that would keep the Browns legacy in Cleveland. In February 1996, the NFL announced that the Browns would be 'deactivated' for three years, and that a new stadium would be built for a new Browns team, as either an expansion team or a team moved from another city, that would begin play in 1999. Modell would in turn be granted a new franchise for Baltimore, the Baltimore Ravens, retaining the current contracts of players and personnel. There would be a new team, but the Browns' name, colors, history, records, awards and archives would remain in Cleveland. Coincidentally, the only other current NFL team to suspend operations without merging with another, the St. Louis Rams, had once played in Cleveland (they suspended during the 1943 season, at the height of World War II).
You've been schooled. Now go home and study.

Yeah, RedWhiteBlack. They really need the help since the ones talking trash on behalf of the Steelers know absolutely nothing. Perhaps you can add some intelligent conversation as the other two posters are failing miserably.

Call me ignorant, call me whatever you want to but as far as I'm concerned the Browns that were winning the titles back in the '40's are the Ravens today! Their history might have stayed in Cleveland but BIG DEAL!! Ask any Cleveland fan how PISSED they were when the team left Cleveland for Baltimore. The Browns team today has won NOTHING! \
I am putting you on my IGNORE list -- that way when you post, nothing will come up on my computer! I'm tired of listening to your rant about the Browns and how great you think they are compared to the Steelers. We shall see how great the Browns are come 9/14 and 12/28.

When your precious Squeelies fall down this year, you will disappear just like all frontrunners do. Browns fans follow the team no matter what their record may be. Browns fans are the DEFINITION of fan. Something you will never know or understand.

And so do ALL TRUE STEELER Fans.....as soon as your boys start losing, the stadium empties out and all you can see are the opposing teams colors, because those are the only fans left in the stands. I can post pictures! Steeler fans stay to the bitter end whether they are losing or winning. Oh trust me, I will be back here after the games!

It doesn't matter what you think. According to the NFL, the courts of law, and the residents of the state of Ohio, the Browns are the Browns, dating back to 1946 and with suspended operations from 1996 to 1999. The Ravens are the Ravens, a new franchise with no history before 1996. Period.
