I know he didn't have a lot of time, but RG needed to throw the ball down the field at some point. He basically ran the clock out on two drives with 5 yard passes.

This was a game 99.999999% of all Redskin fans penciled in as a win....no moral victories here...extremely disappointing...

Looks like 6-10 at best....schedulemakers didn't do the team any favors...

I wouldn't book your Super Bowl trip or a top 10 spot in the draft after only one game. When you get a team like the Eagles in a transitional spot, new coach, but loads of talent, they are going to catch some teams off guard. If you think about it, until tonight there wasn't really any film on these Eagles.

The Redskins should still have a decent season. A week 1 loss to a rival hurts, but I wouldn't write off the entire season over it.

I agree, the season isn't over, but the team has impossible games on the schedule (@ GB/Denver/49ers/Falcons)...and that doesn't count games against teams in the NFC East (even though the division stinks this year, division games are tougher..)

This was a must win if anyone thought there was a strong shot to make the playoffs...just trying to be objective..

Did you see the Giants and Cowboys play? On the one end was a team that gave it away 6 times. On the other end was a team that despite 6 takeaways, gave up 31 points to its opponent. I'd say the NFC East is wide open. 9-7 may be enough to get a division title this season.

I did see the game. Was very sloppy like most games this weekend. Even still, if you break down the schedule you'll see what I'm talking about..

4 losses against those teams I mentioned will give you 5 losses.

That means realistically you'll have to go 9-2 against other teams..

Impossible? No way

probable? (Going into NY/Dallas/Philly) and running the table? Not likely...

Just see if you can get to 2-2 after the 1st 4 games...have you penciled in at 1-3 now...

The Redskins three turnovers in the first half really killed them.

I am not so sure. IMO, the Eagles took their foot off the gas after going up 33-7. I don't think the Redskins figured much out at least on defense. RGIII seemed to get his legs under him a bit in the 2nd half but by then it was all over..

Did the Eagles take their foot off the gas or was the Eagles offense gassed? I think that the Eagles offense was out of gas in the 2nd half. I was actually thinking that before half-time. LaSean McCoy looked like he was going to need a respirator with about 10 min. to go in the 2nd qtr. I will say that the Eagles looked pretty impressive for the first half of that game but I don't see McCoy and Vick lasting very long in that type of scheme and without those 2 in there, the Eagles might as well mail it in.

Good point, perhaps they took their foot off the gas because they were out of gas... McCoy was definitely sucking wind (he had 20 plus carries before half) and Vick was hobbled late. Still, i am not convinced the Redskins did anything to stop the Eagles. I think the Eagles stopped them selves as most teams would do with a 4 TD lead.

I suspect RGIII plays a lot better next week... 1 game, despite how bad you play, doesn't make a season...
