He did start several games after 93.. He started 3 for Cleveland in 94 and 3 for St Louis in 95.
I had forgotten about his issues with his child.

If we win tomorrow, do they pay Kirk next week?

Regarding Rypien, I reckon Joe Gibbs' departure had a great deal to do with it as well. Joe brought out the best in his QBs.

Hah. No, they will wait until the season is over to start talking contracts. I don't believe neither the Redskins nor Kirk Cousins want any distractions going on during the season.

Yeah, I think Joe Gibbs served as much as a father figure to a lot of his players as he did a coach. He brought out the best in his players because his players wanted to play for him.

Hopefully, that's the case with Jay Gruden. I don't know about the father figure idea, but I think his players love him and respect him and want to play for him. And anybody who doesn't seems to not stick around too long.

Have to because they can beat dallas and lose the next 4 so the smart to do is let the season play out

I can't get away with that, my wife's family is a big one and there are a lot of football fans. Dinner is always around 3:00 so just like in 2012 our agreement is to watch the first half, complete with kids and dogs in the room, and then leave at the half, drive home in the cone of silence, and then I watch the 2nd half via DVR without all the noise.
