Do you think it is more important to have a strong Offense or a strong Deffense?
I think its more important to have a strong deffense because its good to have a group that can force 3 and outs, return interceptions for TD's to put up their own points, shut them out, etc. it can be good when the deffense gets the ball in someones hands like ed reed, and take it to the house.
You also need a good offense so when the deffense gives you the ball back, you can score on those opportunities. You need physically and mentaly strong players at QB, WR, RB, TE, FB, OL to be able to make something happen.
Most of the fans come in to see players on the offensive side, like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, LT, Randy Moss, etc. including me.
But i think it is still more important to have a good deffense because it would be much easier to control the game and bring in momentum.
A good defense can help a team with a so-so offense. Just ask the 2000-01 Baltimore Ravens, their offense couldnt score a TD until like week 5. In fact i think the Ravens defense scored like half the points for the team that year.
Good question
defense is much more important.
tires the adversary and helps to prepare the ground for later offensive moves
much later when the adversary is depleted.
Not taking anything away from a good defense but I believe a good offense sets the defense up with better field position after the punt. Also a good offense thats in rhythem will keep the defense off the field longer, giving them more time to rest so they don't get worn down. And last, it's the offense's job to score points and coming out on top is what determines the record. I'd say offense edges out defense (in most cases) but it's a close debate.
Go D!!! I definitely defense is seriously important! Well both are of course but if your offense is having a bad day - or bad season the D can save the day (or season). Holding the other team to 3-&-outs, causing fumbles and interceptions can make or break a game! I love to see the D steal the ball & take it all the back for a TD, don't get to see it often but love it when I do - unless of course it is against my Buckeyes.
