Prescott has already won the starting quarterback job with the Cowboys. He is an upgrade from Romo.

I agree. Been a diehard Cowboys fan for 20 plus years, love Romo, but if Dak is winning games, why bring Romo back too soon.

Well it sounded like Jerry Jones said today he is not going to rush romo back which is good.

U forgetting Jerry has a thing for Romo....and loyal to him. But he likes Dak too....but Romo not going anywhere. I worry that he bringing him out too soon.

Here's the deal with Dak. He's making guys look good who can stay healthy and on the field. When has Cole Beasley ever been used this much and Jason Witten is pulling a Tony Gonzalez with Dak under center. There's two people that are considered game changers on this team, and neither of them are suited up to play (Romo and Dez). Jerry Jones may love Romo, but I guarantee you he loves winning more. Zeke is destroying the NFL right now with 550+ rushing yards through 5 games. I think Romo can bring W's as well, but it's the other thing that comes with him, and that is he's injury prone. I think the team would focus too much on keeping him upright than focusing on the W. Dak can use his legs to avoid contact better than Romo, so keep him in the game, until he has a colossal meltdown (4 INTs, 100 yards passing at end of half). Until he puts a stat sheet together like that, he should be the signal caller, even if Romo is healthy to come back in.

weezer, i rather agree with you on that. i would rather prescott keep running the team until such time as he folds up in a couple of games, and then bring romo back.

I think you stick with what is working, winning games. Why change? I would be shocked if Romo could come in, totally ready to go without some hiccups, for as long as he has been off. Prescott isn't making mistakes, doing a bad job, let the kid play.

The issue could become much bigger though, he plays and well, Cowboys beat the Packers, then what?

if that happens, romo is probably not ready to return yet, probably because he failed a team physical or some such argument.

What is weird is not only romo coming back to replace a QB who is winning, but they are planning to bring him back vs the eagles

Why not Cleveland?
