Nope.. don't confuse FANs with Players...

Some Eagles FAN will certainly try to hurl some foreign object at Dak or Zeke or any person wearing Cowboys gear but the players have a ton more respect for each other than fans do. I expect the eagles to come out and play hard.. period.. I can't think of any 'dirty' player on the Eagles, at least not off the top of my head. I am not in the least bit concerned that Dak or Zeke could get injured from a dirty hit. I am however concerned they could get injured just playing the game but that concern never goes away regardless of the opponent.

They knocked Romo out in week 2 so what is going to stop them from trying to hurt Dak in week 17?

That's football. they didn't hit him LATE.. they just hit him.. As i recall, that was one of those QB hits where the tackler rides the QB to the ground, lands on him and breaks the collar bone.. not fun. You will see that play occur (minus the broken collar bone) at least a half dozens times every NFL Sunday. Nothing dirty or intentional. Just football. If your worried about him getting hurt by a play like that then he shouldn't be playing.. PERIOD.

If you want to see a DIRTY hit on a QB go look at the Packers Charles Martin late hit on Bears QB Jim McMahon (1986) or better yet go look at the Browns Turkey Jones hit on the Steelers Terry Bradshaw back in 1976... at least Bradshaw still had the ball when Turkey Jones hit him but Charles Martin is probably the dirtiest player i ever saw.. at least up until Albert Haynesworth stomping incidents.. so i get your point. there are dirty players in the NFL but There are no players on the Eagles like that so no worries.

That Jordan Hicks hit on Romo just looked dirty to me which is why I never liked him. It was no need to drive him into the ground like that after he already had the sack.

you are right, these days there are few dirty players in the NFL, and most of them end up leaving their careers early. even suh has stopped being a dirty player.

i saw that hit, there was nothing dirty about it. it was unfortunate that romo suffered a broken collarbone, but the hit was clean. as my cousin would say, take the skirt off and put your man pants on.

After this past week, I think it's safe to say the Cowboys are peaking at the exact right time. How they manage the buy week and a dead game this week ahead could make all the difference. We are talking three weeks of starters resting and key players. Ver easy to get out of rhythm and lose that meshing team capacity in three weeks.

That said, the Cowboys are now clearly the favorite NFC championship team. Odds on pick. If they play like they have the past two weeks, it should be a breeze, being at home. Essentially, two home wins and this team is off to the Super Bowl!

essentially, just win the rest of the games in the state of Texas. Will be difficult though.

They certainly looked good (especially on offense) vs Detroit but i remember a similar game (even more dominant) vs the Colts in 2014 followed by a dominant win vs the Skins to end the season followed by a less than stellar playoff win vs Detroit at home followed by a disappointing loss at Greenbay.. so, I am NOT counting my chickens just yet!

I like their chances, especially at home, but its really going to hinge on the defense. I expect the offense to score early and often but you expect that any playoff team they face will make a comeback and that's were the defense will earn their money.. can they stop any (expected) comeback... so far this year they have but have been helped greatly by an offense that has controlled the ball and continued to score... I can see the Cowboys up by 10 or so points in the 4th quarter and the opposing team scores making it a 1 possession game.. Can the Cowboys offense answer and if they don't, can the defense get a stop? This will be the playoffs in a nut shell.

mco is right, lets not count our chickens just yet. philly is the next game on the schedule, and even though it is a throw away game for the cowboys, we still cannot ignore it. we also do not know who we will face in the playoffs.

A fail if they don't make it to the SB. Pressure is ON
