Not sure if this is the right thread to ask. Might move to St. Louis MO (sigh). Does anyone know of any fan clubs or where to view Dallas Cowboys games in STL? I know there is the Direct TV Football ticket but it is not in the budget for now.

ESPN Classic.
Seriously - without an NFL Pass, you might to stream it.
Ray Guy hit the gondola at the Superdome at the '76 Pro Bowl but he was trying to. Still, they ended up raising it permanently as a result. The NFL signed off on the height for the Godzillajerrytron but there's no precedent for something that size. It's not just the height, it's the width. The league must have considered the possibility that it would be hit or they wouldn't have ruled to punt over if it was.
One note about when it was hit, the ball actually hit the Mitsubishi sign that hangs like 7 feet below it, not the board itself and I kind of think the guy was trying to hit it.
Regardless, Jones needs to quit posturing and when it's raised for the U2 concert in October, keep it there. It's not like people in the stands would have to crane their necks to see it if it were 10-20 feet higher.

IMO Jones needs to raise that thing before the regular season starts. The opposing teams will use the "re-kick" to stall the clock and rest their defense.
Does anyone know of a Dallas Cowboy friendly bar/grill that will show the season opener next week? Preferrably in the Friendswood/Clearlake area if possible.

God, I cannot believe I'm helping you as I hate Dallass, but unlike most St. Louisians I'm friendly to visitors, so here goes:
There are MANY Cowboys fans here in STL. I too follow an out-of-town team (Denver, and I know we may struggle this year, so leave it alone). You're pretty much safe in any bar - Some of the better places to watch Amerca's - excuse me - Dallas' Team are:
Ozzie's
Ameristar Sports Bar
St. Louis Sports Zone (Caution: VERY smoky, if you're smart and don't smoke).
Here's a link to some others - good luck, and you may actually encounter a Rams fan in STL
