Yes, the Bears are far more dangerous to us than their record would indicate.

Default 2017 Regular Season: Week 7 - Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears (22 October 2017)

The Bears are what their record is. They may have improved, but they have not been consistent to win games. Both of the Bears' wins were in overtime. Two losses were within six or fewer points.

even with the extra days off the Pathers looked far more like the flatter team in this game.

The Defense played a great game, anytime you hold a team to ~150 yards of total offense the defense has played well.
The bears had been averaging over 100 yards a game running the ball and had what? 68 in this game?

in contrast, our run game only works when Cam is carrying the ball, Stewart probably has as many negative runs as positive ones...does any other team in the league have this issue?
passing offense had its good moments.
we didnt run block well
we didnt pass block well(gave up 3 sacks in 1st quarter)
this offense has great potential, the play calling is so predictable many times though, how many times do we really need to run Stew on 1st down for -1/-2 before we know its not a great idea mix it up.

Default 2017 Regular Season: Week 7 - Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears (22 October 2017)

The Panthers lost to the lowly Chicago Bears because the offense played lousy. Allowing two defensive touchdowns should be a statement that (1) the current offensive system is not working, and (2) opposing teams know how to shut down the Panthers' offense to win games.

If the Panthers continue the crap on offense, offensive coordinator Mike Shula and several of his minions need to be fired, and a quarterback will need to be brought in to give Newton competition.

Fair assessment. Stewart is probably the worst starting RB in the league right now. They've not given CMC any chance to get volume as a RB to see if he can get it going which is the biggest fallacy IMO. Stewart is old and slow, time to let CMC get 20 totes in a game and see what happens. It literally can't be worse than what JStew has given us so far.

Honestly, I think Derek Anderson is a better passer than Newton and it's probably not even that close. Newton has the arm strength and certainly the rushing ability but Anderson is the more accurate option. I don't think Cam is the total issue so no need to replace him yet, however they need to spend some picks/dollars in free agency this year on OL and RB. I don't trust Hurney not to completely F that up however.

OL is the most glaring issue it seems, Cam is able to bail them out a lot by being mobile, DA has actually passed worse than Cam recently, the guy in preseason Gabbert played well, though..probably the reason we let Webb go.

Default 2017 Regular Season: Week 8 - Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (29 October 2017)

The Panthers travel to Tampa, Florida, to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Playing and living like garbage against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears should have ended. An offensive line that shows up to make plays in the end zone that results in offensive touchdowns will help the Panthers win.

If he gets on the 53 man roster, you know exactly how that's going to end----winning kick vs TB...we gave the former 2nd rounder selection so much time to get his act together and he never did. It was awful and a huge, historical waste of a 2nd rounder.

Webb played waaaay better than DA in the preseason. Maybe it was a different story at camp, but if the Panthers were going to only keep two QBs (and really, the only reason they dropped Webb was to make room for another RB....who hasn't played a snap this season) they should have kept the one who consistently showed up in the preseason. Plus he contributed on special teams.

You hit the nail on the head. Right before the Panthers' first play of the game each week, I always call a handoff to Stew up the middle.....and I'm always proven right. It always results in no gain since the opposing defenses know what we're doing, so we're always left with two plays to pick up the first down. At least we've been decent at converting third downs so far this year....
