Nice division win, took the foot off the gas on both offense and defense in the second half to make it way too close for comfort based on how the 1H went but I'll take the W.
Huge game Thursday against the Steelers. Hopefully Bell comes back and they try to mix him in before he's in game shape and take some touches from Conner, who I believe is having a statistically better season than Bell did last year.
Oh, Thursday night...Steelers had a big win. Did you see it?
Cam made a mistake....then it was downhill from there.
Do you think the low score of Panthers was from their reaction to Cam's error or was the Steelers defense just too much? Or both?
That atrocious pick six that he said really set the stage for the game. That would have been a terrible throw for a rookie to make, inexcusable for an MVP caliber QB like Cam to throw that. Can't say it would've been closer if he just takes grounding in the end zone or a sack in the end zone for a safety, but the Steelers would've only gotten 2 points instead of 7. Of course with the way the Steelers moved the ball, it probably doesn't make much of a difference anyways.

the Panthers had no answer for anything the steelers did basically... they didnt get a stop on 3rd down til the 4th quarter. The opening drive was good, then the steelers score in 1 play. Initially it seemed this might work in the Panthers favor because that steeler defense that was just on the field the last drive could get tired out. Instead the Panthers call a naked bootleg the 1st play of the 2nd drive and the defender didnt bite inside.. sometimes it just isnt meant to be.

I don't think the INT had anything to do with anything honestly. The defense played like horse manure and the offensive line honestly looked like they couldn't have been bothered to even try to block anyone.
This is a game you shake off, take a couple of extra days off and come back and focus on the next week. Still very tough sledding with the remaining schedule including the Aint's 2x. About to see what this team is really made of.
Released CJ Anderson today and signed Travaris Cadet. Certainly the offense is built more for a McCaffrey/Cadet type back versus bruiser like CJ. CJ wanted out so the Panthers obliged him sounds like.
Panthers better hope that Rams go on a losing streak. If Saints lock up the conference #1, they may rest some starters for Panthers to have a chance to beat the Saints in Wk.17. Unfortunately, Rams only have 2 tough games remaining on their schedule.
Looking like a 9-7 season at this point for Panthers.
