The Rams lose Kenny Britt their top receiver of last year to the Browns and now acquire Sammy Watkins via trade. A good move by the Rams IF Watkins can stay healthy-last year he had two foot surgeries, resulting in a big drop in receiving yards with 430, compared to 982 and 1,047 in his first two years.
For just a second round pick it's definitely worth the risk. Bad thing is he went to on of the very few teams that has a worse passing attack then Buffalo.

Well acquiring Watkins and hiring McVay head coach is a step in the right direction to remedy that. McVay is hands on as he was calling the plays from the sidelines last night in the win against the Cowboys. Whats very encouraging is that he likes to throw the ball.

I think he is 100% worth it if he is healthy and if he resigns with the Rams. This is his final year of his contract so giving up a second round pick for only one season IMO is not worth it. So lets hope we resign him.

Right now Trumaine Johnson is the highest paid Ram at 16.7 mill per. That ranks 27th in the NFL with Derek Carr at the top with 25. This will be an audition for Watkins as well as a test for his health. If it all checks out, time to look into them deep pockets.

So with this trade, that means they need Tavon Austin even less. What a waste of money he has become. I can still remember the episode last season on Hard Knocks when Fisher hugs Austin to congratulate him on his new contract. I was thinking what a waste even back then.
Tavon? Or Fisher? Or both?
