I was shocked too. I am not sure how to feel. I don't hate the move, but I was hoping we'd get a more defensive-minded guy at the helm. Andy should have at least interviewed a couple of the Packers/Steelers coaches after the Super Bowl. It was only going to be about another week or so.
I just saw they hired Juan Castillo, the offensive line coach,as their defensine coordinator. He has not coached any defense since a High School team over 20 years ago. They really can't be serious with this move.
Well the Eagles got a solid O-lineman so that is good. Watkins should start right away and vick will have better protection. I am still interested in what the iggles will do in the later rounds though.

what do you think iggle fans, you like him?
Not really sure how I feel about drafting a 26 year old Canadian hockey player/rugby player/fireman.
He is the oldest drafted first round pick since 1980.
Does it fill a need? Yes.
Do the Iggles still badly need a CB? Yes.
well with the next two picks the eagles chose DB's but I don't think they will fill the need. Jaiquawn Jarrett might be able to fill the need because he has talent but I don't know much about his playing ability. Watkins may be 26 but O lineman can last longer in the NFL if they are great. Watkins is good but if he is great his age my not be that much of a factor.
Kolb for DRC and another draft pick is a good trade
