Well, first off with the exception of a few mental errors we played well enough to win and win handily. The Jets turned the ball over three times; to Denver's credit with the exception of the long pass at the end the defense actually had one of their better games. One small problem with those turnovers is we only was able to get a field goal out of them.

While the Bronco talk stations were/are yakking about the pass interference call late, we should have taken care of business well before that fact. Field goal snapper Lonnie Paxton 2 hopped the one to holder Craig Colquitt, who had no choice but try to run with it. And then the one in the end with J.D. Walton sailing the other one over Orton's outstretched left arm sealed the loss. And I'm not so sure Walton didn't snap that ball a tad early as well.

The Jets went to the AFC championship last year and are 5-1 this year. We are not a good enough football team to make mistakes like that and expect to win. Those are mistakes involving the basics, and it doesn't get any more basic than snapping the ball correctly.

Another thing that hurt was Moreno's fumble on the 16 in the first quarter, but I'm not going to crucify him. That was just a great defensive play. His knee was not quite down, and the Jets were able to yank it out of there. One thing that was encouraging was him getting a little playing time in general, he got 12 carries for 48 yards. In fact, we were able to rush for 144 yards total. Orton threw for 209 yards going 13 for 34.

It was a very disappointing afternoon for sure, but to their credit they played a competitive 58 minutes. No doubt our defensive starters Wesley Wooodyard, Brian Dawkins, and Robert Ayers would have been a difference maker, but injuries happen to all the clubs, and the Broncos have to overcome that issue as well.

I was thinking that too. I remember Orton raising his leg to set the receiver in motion and looking awfully surprised when the ball was snapped almost immediately after. I'm betting that Walton probably had a massive brain fart and mistook setting the receiver in motion for a silent snap count.

I think y'all got this week....ok, I'd bet the house. Kyle Boller is starting for Oakland. I was one of the last few Kyle supporters in Baltimore but he broke my heart too many times. Good Luck.

With both clubs at 2-4, there hasn't been a lot of posturing in the media, specifically the Denver Post, about it. There might be something in todays Post online, been kind of quiet about it the last few days though.

Denver's favored by 7 but that isn't the issue here; for the last several years the Raiders have had some success beating Denver on their field. Even though Denver lost Sunday, everyone else in the AFC West did too. The AFC West for the last several years has been pretty poor, this year doesn't look any different.

The Broncos need to step up in a big way here, last Sunday's game was a huge disappointment as they had the Jets beat but made critical mistakes at the end.

We'll see what happens tomorrow afternoon. Go Broncs!

The AFC West overall is struggling - the rest of our season is do-able...but we've gotta find our game and be on it.

That said....

Dear Lord, please let us at least beat the Raiders....

14-0 Raiders. Should be 21-0, but will probably be their ball at the Denver 20 with 4 minutes and 24 seconds expired. This could be the worst Denver Bronco game ever since I started watching them in 1977.

Looks like it's time for a plan B. Guess it's a good day to wax the car.

Well... Mike Shanahan won today! Kubiac is doing well!

31-0 Raiders with just 24 seconds short of 3 quarters to go and I'm wondering what's louder, the boo's or the scattering of Raider fans.

Fire McDaniels and bring back Red Miller!
