Been kind of quiet lately but some personnel moves have been made recently that are worth noting.
Defensive lineman Justin Bannan is back with the Broncos. He played last year with the St. Louis Rams on a one year deal and was released recently. Bannan will be needed here as Byron Bunkley signed with the New Orleans Saints recently and the Broncos have been pretty quiet as to the status of defensive lineman Ty Warren. Warren was hurt in the pre-season and didn't play at all in 2011.
Another casualty is something I read in ProFootballTalk.com. The Broncos are about to release defensive lineman Ryan McBean. He was one of two players (linebacker D.J. Williams being the other) that flunked a drug test and is filing suit against the NFL. This just came online a bit ago and I don't have anything more on it info wise, such as contract issues.
Yes. Details of the contract were not disclosed. Stokely has maintained a home here even though he played for the Seahawks in 2010. He will help. Good slot receiver, we're a receiver short as Eddie Royal has signed with Kansas City. And of course Stokely played with Peyton at Indianapolis for a few seasons.
Every time I think of all those concussions he has had in his career, I kind of flinch. But he's cleared to play, has always had a great set of hands, goes across the middle with no fear, and as young as our receivers are, he would help them out as well.
Schedule out yesterday, it's a toughie, especially the earlier games. How ironic to open against Pittsburgh at home! that will be a fun one! Im planning my away games!
when will the set dates for pre-season be released? I know the date range is out, but I want definate dates for the Chicago game.
kinda disappointed no home Monday Night-ers when I saw the schedule Tuesday.

I'm a Redskins fan, but I live out here in Denver now. Was looking into maybe hitting that season opener on Sunday night against the Steelers. $300 a ticket and up. Yikes.
To compare, we went to last year's season opener, a Monday night game against the Raiders. We only paid $110 per ticket LOL.
There are several reports from online sites that Broncos defensive back Brian Dawkins has announced his retirement.
The Broncos only got him for three seasons, and he was dinged up in several games in those seasons. He also was one of the best players the Broncos ever employed. He was class on and off the field. Dawkins played for 16 seasons in the NFL, the first 13 with the Philadelphia Eagles. All told he had 37 interceptions, 26 sacks, and 1131 tackles.
He was all-NFL 4 times and went to the pro bowl 9 times. His field and locker room leadership was huge. He will be missed. And he is going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame-period!
I wish the NFL had more Brian Dawkins type players. Thanks Brian!
Losing Dawkins's leadership this season will hurt a lot more than losing his play on the field. In his prime he was one of the best in the biz, but the last couple seasons his stats have fallen off and his injuries have mounted.
