I think it might be tough for the B's to make the playoffs they got philly coming up and that wont be easy. Id like to see them play the pats in the wild card revenge will be sweet. Thats if they can pull it together but hey they could pull out an upset just look at the panthers game.

The scenario after the Indy loss was win 2 of the next 3 and we're basically guaranteed a wild card spot. Well we've dropped the one loss already so we need to win out to get in.
I think we can handle the Eagles if we play football like we're supposed to. They're a good but not great team. As for your revenge, I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. We've beat you once already, the Broncos are the Patriots' Achilles heel and our HC is the one who designed the offense you still run, meaning he can stop it better than probably anyone.
It'd probably be another good game, but an assured victory for you it is not.

That Super Bowl winning Patriots team lost to a Dolphins team that is a divisional rival yet just as pathetic the Raiders team we just lost to, so how can it be a reach to use that to illustrate why a lesser team (2009 Broncos) lost to a divisional rival as well?

Because you are using it as a defense to why you think the Broncos will still be successful this season. The Pats, who won the SB were a completely different level of what this Broncos team is. Yes, the Pats lost a freak game, but ended the season with 12 straight wins. The Broncos have now lost several, bad games including getting completely dominated by the Chargers (yes it was domination, I spelled it out in their thread already).
If we were merely having a conversation and you said, "any team can lose a freak game," obviously I agree with you, but we are in the Broncos thread, and you have been their biggest apologist on CD. It is not an isolated statement.

Uhhh, no. The only thing I'm doing is showing how even great teams can lose to pathetic teams, especially when it's a division rivalry.
You're reading way too much into my comments.

No, we're not a totally different team than earlier in the season, unless you count the loss of Ryan Harris and benching Ben Hamilton.

Russel was throwing lasers out there, just because he wasn't playing well and was abandoned doesn't mean he didn't have the potential, he does.
The way I saw the game was lack of capitalization. Early in the game we had two good drives where we had to settle for field goals after moving down the field pretty effieciently. After that, we stagnated. We were also getting gashed by the Raider running game.
As for the end of the game, the common theme for these recent Bronco teams is a willingness to get disinterested if they're in the lead. If I remember right, we were in the lead in the 4th and were just utterly incapable of using our offense to kill clock. In my opinion, if your trying to defend a lead, you can't be going 3 and out all the time.
Did anybody else see this, it looked like Dumervil was in the QBs face the entire day with an offensive lineman holding onto him for dear life. I don't remember the Raiders getting called for obvious holding the entire game.
I just worry about the tendency for the offense to stagnate for ~20 minutes gameclock a game. They seem to be touchdown capable maybe 10% of the time they have the ball, FG capable maybe 25% of the time.
The problem with Kyle Orton is he doesn't seem to improve. He is utterly consistent, always the same downsides, same upsides. However, along with the positive aspects of consistently, theres also the consistent mistakes and moments that make you sigh. The throws at the feet on the most basic and wide open of routes, the slips and stumbles and bumbles in the backfield, etc.
I think the Broncos can win the last two games, I don't know if Philly can strike them deep like they do against other teams, they'll probably get good yardage out of people like Avant.
