A few recent player acquisitions of note!

The Denver Post has reported defensive back Tracy Porter has agreed to a four deal with Denver. I don't have any money figures on it right now, when they get released later I'll put it on this post. Porter is a four year vet and knows Peyton Manning quite well, thank you. Porter was the DB who got the pick 6 against Peyton in SB XLIV.

Also the Broncos have signed former Cincinnati Bengal wide receiver Andre Coldwell. This will be Carter's fifth year, to date his career stats show 124 receptions in a back up role.

Former Indianapolis Colt center Jeff Saturday is in Denver this weekend meeting with the Broncos regarding a contract.

Quick note: The New England Patriots have signed Bronco fullback Spencer Larsen to a free agent contract.

ESPN is reporting that Saturday is off the market. He's going to Green Bay.

Broncos picked up former CSU Ram and Houston Texan TE Joel Dreesen. He'll likely move up to #1 on the depth chart.

Here's your reality check... the Denver Broncos did better than the Green Bay Packers in this last seasons' playoffs.

Coulda Shoulda Woulda all you want, Tim Tebow won a playoff game and Aaron Rogers did not.

Yes, the team did, doesn't make him a great QB, I didn't bring up Aaron in this discussion! I was referring to how they reached the playoffs, which now that I think about it, is how the Packers reached the playoffs previous season, thanks to a DeSean Jackson kickoff return. Of course, they won the Super Bowl!

They both lost in the second round. How do you figure the Broncos did better?

The Broncos won a game. Remember?

The Packers got a bye and then choked.

So you consider winning a first round game better than getting a first round bye? I think you are going to be in the minority with that.
