Thanks for the vid Summerz and it must have been nice to hear Dave Logan calling that play. I went crazy in the house here. I was yelling and screaming... you'd have thought they won a Super Bowl. My lower back doesn't even hurt anymore!

LOL - I thought he was going to lose his voice! "....caught by Stokely! He's running! The 40, 35, 30, 35! OH MY ... HE"S ON THE 20, 15,10, 05!!! OH MY GOODNESS!" Something like that....it was pretty fun to hear. I thought the game was over and was all getting ready to be in a bad mood...ha ha..That was a fun was to start off. Hopefully that will get the team stoked for the season now....

Will comment on the game stat wise tomorrow but here is one HUGE observation.

The look on the faces of the Bengal fans, and the players were absolutely astonishing! As they were shown on the tube, I didn't see anyone even blink. Not one! I DO remember head coach Marvin Lewis at least trying to keep his composure.
But everyone else looked like they were in a trance!

I'm STILL trying to comprehend what went down here today!

Man I am P'd off I didn't put your team Defense in my fantasy league.

I would have won.

Excellent game winning catch, it reminded me of the old Madden football back in the day on Sega.

The way your receiver ran on the side of the Endzone. (Classic stuff)

Amazing!

Default classic old fashioned Bronco game ending/including me missing it lol

I had gone out on the back porch for a ciggie, (after they got that dang clock fixed)
....and heard my Husband start yelling lol. I looked in through the window and saw someone in a Bronco uniform running along the goal line Wasn't sure exactly what I was seeing yet but was thinking he better not trip!lol.
Over the years some of their best plays have been those 2 minutes I am away.
I should leave the room more often?

My wife and I watched the game at one of the few non-smoking sports bars in St. Louis (folks here are behind the times when it comes to heath matters). We were in front of three VERY drunken, obnoxious Bungles fans. When Benson scored the TD, they wouldn't shut up for five minutes. After the Stokely miracle catch, we turned around and smiled at them and got the middle finger. We then went over to shake their hands and they ignored us. Class acts, those folks from Cincy.

12-7 BRONCOS! 1-0 on the season. GO BRONCOS.

We were lucky. At the sports bar we were at the Bengals fans were pretty decent. Of course that might have had something to do with the fact we had them outnumbered 2 to 1.

Thumbs up Bronco football!!

Nothing is going to change until and unless there is support for football or other sports (Not cricket Dumbo). With 2 billion people playing and supporting cricket nothing is going to improve . even if pele came down to coach our football team NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE.

OK, time to look at this win. A few points here.

One stat that didn't make the paper was an observation by analyst Dan Fouts I remember him saying; at the 2 minute warning of the first half and the Broncos are sitting at 39 yards total offense for the half.
comment: The first half WAS kind of brutal for the O. We had several three and outs for the game.

Defense: It reminded me a bit of Joe Collier's"bend but don't break" defense. You have to give coordinator Mike Nolan credit, they hung tough till the Bengals finally went in near games end. Though Cinci's O-line is lacking somewhat, it was good to see the defense get 3 sacks.

offense-an 87 yard bomb will do wonders for the stat page but let's not kid ourselves, the O struggled. I was surprised Hillis didn't get more carries, but Peyton did a good job blocking, from what I could see.

One stark difference this year as opposed to last will be the sack total. The Bengals got 3 sacks, just like we did. Orton doesn't have the mobility like Cutler does to escape pressure. Fortunately Orton did not have any picks or fumbles, a plus there. What a heads up play by Stokely, it was kind of odd that the only catch he made was the 87 yard one.

Prater is off to a good start with the long field goals. At the end of last season he tailed off quite a bit, and I was surprised the Broncos didn't bring anyone in to push him for that job earlier in training camp. But credit Prater, so far so good.

One thing that hasn't got a lot of discussion was the botched field goal try by the Bengals in the first half. That was huge; and the placement? Sheesh! That looked like a 20 yard loss, maybe more!

Yea the offense was pathetic, and I think Cinci had at least 9 dropped balls. Cincy lost the game more than we won it. During the first half, until that last drive we had maybe 8 minutes of possession, were running it ok, but not extensively enough in my opinion. I think we had a first down on our first possession, then none until the last. Cincy executed whatever play they wanted, but their mistakes kept them back, we were getting into the backfield good against the rush, but were manhandled the rest of the time against the pass. Every blits would get picked up, weren't really getting much pressure, we did have 3 sacks though. Orton seemed to go down easy, didn't really take more than maybe 1 real shot though. Doesn't seem to have good balance. I'll take a win though.
