First team offense didn’t look good. First team defense didn’t either but honestly I’m not too worried about that unit. It’ll come together. The offense...the limited action they did see was pretty uninspired.
It’s just preseason though, and we’ve seen a lot of changes here. It’s a process and I hope to see some real improvement before the real games begin.
Not necessarily. A guy flashes late in the preseason and everyone is high on him. I think Keenum will be ok. From the looks of it Kelly is well on his way to playing himself past Lynch and that may be a good thing. He seems to have a lot of moxie.

Kelly was moved up to 1st backup today. I imagine Elway is hoping some team will take Paxton along with his contract. That's not likely to happen, unfortunately.
I was impressed with Kelly's play Saturday. Of course he was playing against the Vikings' 2nd and 3rd stringers, but he did well for a first NFL game.

This is great news. I know a lot of fans are hoping he eventually emerges as the long term starter. He's under contract for one year past Keenum's deal, so I can see a low impact path to giving him his shot. Of course what I'd rather see is Keenum be so good the team can't part ways with him.
Lynch was awful in that game, but I hope they aren't going to play musical chairs and switch things around again if he happens to have a decent game the next time and Kelly doesn't. I thought the depth chart was based on more than just one game, and it's not giving me that much confidence in the coach staff if it turns out that they can't make up their minds.
