It is if you're in the NFL.

No its not. We just got back an NFL team and they still smell fresh.

Yeah I would have loved a playoff game years ago, but many teams go threw years of dry spells. look at The Saints.

I'm comparing it to other sports.

You think Houston would get this kind of chance if it were baseball or the NBA?

The Texans have also had a couple chances to make the playoffs before, ya know. I'm just glad it you finally got it. You might not think so, but 10 years or more is and can feel like a long time.... trust me.

Just a bit ago I was on the Houston Texans web site and they have confirmed what I saw on Yahoo Sports online.

Defensive Coordinator Wade Philips is taking a medical leave of absence. The story states Philips is to undergo a scheduled medical procedure and that he will return later in the season. Exactly what the procedure is and exactly what the timetable for his return is has not been revealed. According to the story Philips will speak to the media after the Texans conclude today's practice. Linebacker coach Reggie Herring will take over defensive coordinator duties until Wade returns.

Panthers fan here saying great game. I personally think riding the Foster-Tate train is a must to advance in the playoffs. Need Wade to come back strong too.

Actually - you can go back to 1993-1994 during the Joe Montana days since Houston has had a playoff team.

Default Playoff Football

It's Houston and Cincinnati with the Texans as hosts this coming weekend. Should be a good one. And Houston is due for a win, and they just might get it.

Big players showed up. Foster 2 TDs. Johnson one TD. Defense shut down Bengals in the second half.

Daniels got a broken hand, but otherwise no damage.

Twenty years since the last playoff win around here. City is ecstatic - will shut down next week during the game - figuratively speaking. Ravens will be a tough challenge, but not impossible. Take away Rice, let Flacco win the game.
