Idle thought: Wouldn't it be something if the Texans could go from 12-4 to 2-14 (as they have) and then back to 12-4?

NFL Draft is five weeks away.

Yeah - especially with all new parts except AJ, Foster, and Watt.

D. Manning released yesterday.

So the Texans have picked Jadeveon Clowney as their top pick.

I'll admit, he and J J Watt together are going to be brutal against opposing quarterbacks (Andrew Luck, are you listening?). I would have preferred a quarterback, but this will prove to be a good choice.

I'm good with the pick. I don't think any of the QBs are like Andrew Luck, but get some people around one (who doesn't throw pik sixes) and it may be okay.

I am wondering what they do now that the big 3 QBs are taken.

Do they take a spin with another "Carr" ?

The word I've heard is that they are working on a deal with New England to get Ryan Mallett. If not, I think they go with Tom Savage from Pittsburgh.

I heard that also - but later heard that Mallett was not available.

Nice job on the prediction.

What is now obvious is that the Texans believe a QB was not that big of a priority as EVERYONE thought. 4th round?? The Eagles didn't need a QB and they would pick a QB earlier than the 4th round.

Why would the Texans go after mallet it doesn't make sense he only have one year left on his contract. So what if the best case scenario happens and he out performs his last contract, Texans will not have money to pay him big he will get paid somewhere else and we will be at square one. I just have a bad feeling about a big star will be traded I just hope they don't touch 80

80 may want to get rid of 80.

Savage, Keenum, Yates, Fitzpatrick... he may be recalculating...
