I suppose it was inevitable that we would end up with one of Cassell, Hoyer, McCown etc.

I haven't been keeping up much due to a lot of work hours lately. What happened to the prospect of Sam Bradford being available?

Jeff Fischer said those rumors of him being available were not true.

I guess Cassel is an upgrade from Hoyer, Orton, Manuel, Sanchez, and Locker.

Maybe we will get Matt Moore in FA.

Clive Walford in the 2nd.
Draft a pass rusher in the 6th/7th round.
Draft a linebacker (Drafted Guy, Preston Brown, Nigel Bradham)

Cassel was cheap, a short term commitment, and available now before teams bid free agents beyond their worth. They are predicting a better crop of free agent QB's next year. So for now, they get Cassel who is as good on paper as anyone presently available and are not tied into an expensive, long term free agent contract giving them flexibility to re-evaluate their veteran QB situation in the off season when there may be better potential QB's available.

That said, I am not sure you get much of an impact pass rusher in the 6th or 7th DrP. That would really be some good mining for prospects. At best, your probably looking at either a depth guy in that round, or a "project."

He will be good with our D-Line. Not 20 sacks.

We could also try Jarius Wynn there. He showed promise.

Justin Brown, Corbin Bryant, and Chris Hogan were tendered by the Bills.

Jordan Gay was not.

Person on the Bills Official Forum said that Whaley traded for McCoy to get what he really wants...a 2015 first round pick to get Mariota/Winston. With the Sammy Trade, I would not be suprised of they offered McCoy and a 2016 1st round pick for the Titan's 2nd pick. Cassel was to make other teams think that we are done with the QB position.

Yeah I saw that thread. Didn't really give it much thought though. Talk about a conspiracy theory.
